"The city's goal is to tear down Belmont Beverage and The Palace in the next 30 days."
"We're planning on demolishing in phases," said Leatherman. "Belmont Beverage and the restaurant will be first, then the housing to the south, then things like Martin Luther King Montessori School."
"The city had previously said it hoped to break ground on the ballpark by September 1st. Fort Wayne City Spokesman John Perlich said Tuesday it may end up happening later than September, but construction will still happen sometime this fall."
