Rationalization

Courtyard OK
Link

"When Mayor Graham Richard said Harrison Square would have a higher-end Marriott brand, he was surely aiming higher than the Courtyard by Marriott announced last week. While disappointing to some, the moderately priced hotel geared toward business travelers may end up being the best fit after all."

"Harrison Square’s critics will take potshots at the selection of the Courtyard brand as being too low-end – just as they would have criticized a J.W. Marriott for being too high-end and a namesake Marriott because Fort Wayne already has one."

"As Richard and his team of advisers transition from Harrison Square concept to details, they must hold true to the overall concept of the development they have sold to the City Council and other government boards while being flexible enough to accommodate economic realities."

I stay at Courtyards almost every time I travel. They are made for business travelers. I almost always avoid the Hyatt, Raddison, Omni's, etc because they are overpriced. I don't see the big deal - I think a Courtyard is perfect for the convention center.

yeah I don't see any Hyatt's, Omni's, or Westin's, etc. coming to the Fort anytime soon. The Courtyard seems to be the best fit for downtown at this time.
