Hearing set March 8 on Harrison Square

"There are many people in Fort Wayne who want to learn more details and speak out about the mayor’s Harrison Square proposal. On March 8, Councilman Don Schmidt and I will conduct a community field hearing on this project.

Citizens from Fort Wayne, Allen County and the surrounding area are invited to hear Deputy Mayor Mark Becker present the administration’s Harrison Square plan. Afterward, ample time will be available for audience questions, comments and suggestions.

As City Council members, we are offering this opportunity for citizen input. This type of public forum ensures that we can be well informed about our constituents’ views and those of the general public. The opinions and ideas we gather will help us in making crucial decisions about the Harrison Square Project.

The field hearing will be at the Northeast Area Partnership at Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., across from Snider High School. The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m.
