Square View Gets Better
The Harrison Square OxBlue camera is now online. OxBlue technology allows viewers to see the progress of construction from a wide variety of dates and times throughout the construction cycle. Viewers can also view time lapse images of the site at any point and can zoom in on particular areas with impressive clarity.
The new webcam will be a boon to all who are interested in seeing the past, current, and future progress of the Harrison Square site. DFWB commends those involved for the camera's implementation.

Metropolitan Fort Wayne
WOWO's Pat White today mentioned that the downtown Holiday Inn hotel has been sold to "Metropolitan Hotel Group."

A quick search leads to this site, which mentions that the current downtown Holiday Inn is "under contract."

However, the cached page does state, "Fort Wayne Metropolitan, Downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana (Coming Soon)"
Did the "Metropolitan Hotel Group" gain an interest in downtown Fort Wayne via current development initiatives?
Would a renovated and re-branded Holiday Inn create too much competition for the downtown market and Harrison Square's proposed Courtyard by Marriott?

AroundFortWayne.com Interview
The following interview with Deputy Mayor Mark Becker was conducted by the editor of AroundFortWayne.com on April 25, the day after the Harrison Square city council vote.
AroundFortWayne.com has done an excellent job providing additional Harrison Square news and information. The site also contains many of the best photos of Fort Wayne available online. We highly recommend taking the time to thoroughly check out the site.
The interview is available here:
http://downtown.aroundfortwayne.com/Harrison_Square/Becker_2007_04_25.htm
A portion of the interview that I found particularly interesting was the new information concerning parking availability near Harrison Square. You can view this .pdf file here.

Since these renderings are from Hardball, they more closely resemble what the finalized Harrison Square project will look like.
