Its good to see that Mr. Sablic is a "glass half full" type of guy. 20% occupancy?? Mr. Sablic, why dont we all just go jump off a cliff together with this sort of outlook.

Mr Sablic,
Why would two hotels work further south of downtown if you are predicting 20% occupancy for the future Marriott and closure for the current Holiday Inn?
To Mr. Haffner, your comment "I was amused by the college-age or young professional few who boasted about their financial status and whined that there are not enough watering holes downtown." makes it appear you were not at the same meeting I was. I did not hear one young person boast of their financial status. And, not one individual that begged for more bar spaces.
Perhaps you are referring to young entreprenuers who talked about the start-up companies they have chosen to locate in Fort Wayne. (The financial status of these companies was never discussed.) And, if by watering holes, you mean the proposed retail and restaurants that would be built in Phase 1 of Harrison Square, I think we would all agree there is a need for establishments that can be patronized by all visitors to the downtown. Establishments that would bring increased revenue and economic developement to a neglected area.
