Again - the critical votes will be on R-07-9 & R-07-10. I don't see how the common council can approve either of these before they vote on the mou's. R-07-9 is to "pledge" future CEDIT funds($20 million) to HS expenditures plus approve "borrowing" TIF receipts($6 million) and transfer $1 million from the City Light/I & M fund to be used on this un-voted-on project. John K.
Council does not vote on the MOU's.
Why then do both newspapers state, "If council approves, the final agreements can be worked out"? What do they vote on? John K.
All they have to vote on is the use of Economic Development money and the TIF district.
Without those, the deal cannot proceed.
