Kelty Calls for Harrison Square Vote Delay

"One day before the Fort Wayne City Council is set to vote on funding for Harrison Square, Republican mayoral candidate Matt Kelty is calling for council members to delay their vote. He wants the council to wait until after the November election. "
"Kelty dismissed the notion that he was playing politics by waiting until the day before the council vote to announce his plans for a downtown task force."
"It's unlikely Kelty's plea to the city council will do anything. Council members plan to vote on funding for Harrison Square on Tuesday night, as planned, and there are no indications that will change."

Last time I checked Matt, city council doesn't put off voting on issues just because it is many of the members' last terms. He's gotta be kidding with that argument, right?
Why doesnt this logic apply to all matters during the last year of a member's term. This guy is an absolute clown and he is possibly our next mayor.
Fort Wayne is conservative, but Kelty represents more the extremists - the moderate conservatives will likely split to Henry, giving him the majority. I think it would be a close race.
Its also important to consider that Kelty is almost out of money and Henry hasn't even started. I expect to see that change in the next couple of weeks.
I have spoken to quite a few Republicans that said they would contribute to Henry, just for fear that Kelty could win.
