Thanks for posting a link to the Forbes rankings. A poster indicated a couple of days ago that the NS article contradicts what Fort Wayne business owners stated in regards to the baseball stadium. Clearly that was a case of "a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing." The actual Forbes rankings actually evidence what FW business owners already know.
Fort Wayne has a low cost of living and a low cost of doing business. However its rankings in Job Growth, Income Growth and Culture & Leisure are terrible (131, 185 & 138 respectively). Thus the business community's backing of HS. Boost Culture & Leisure and entice businesses and young professionals to stay in ft. wayne. What good is low cost for business, if you can't entice people to move to the city?
And no, it's not just the ballpark. It's the project as a whole, and its catalytic effect.
