Square Update

Taking steps to revitalize
Link

Heavy equipment is moving earth around on the site of Harrison Square, Fort Wayne’s $125-million-to-$160-million downtown revitalization project. The city announced in a legal ad earlier this month that construction on Harrison Square was to begin today and be finished by March 9, 2009. The project will feature retail development, condominiums and a baseball stadium.

The Subway at 301 W. Jefferson Blvd. is still operating. It won’t be torn down until the first of the year, and possibly as late as March, an employee said earlier this month.
