"Greg Leatherman, executive director of redevelopment for the city, said the city’s estimate for the work was $4.7 million. The bid was the second straight major piece of Harrison Square to come in well under budget.

It is likely companies are submitting competitive bids to be part of a project as significant as Harrison Square, Leatherman said."

"Three other companies from northeast Indiana bid on the project, with the next closest coming in at $4.2 million. Leatherman said close bids give him confidence they accurately portray the costs of the project.

The concrete work, estimated to take 9,000 cubic yards of concrete, will be for the bulk of the concourse and stadium structure."
