Poppin’ Pills exhibits humor and pathos

Poppin’ Pills opens in Artlink’s Main Gallery with a reception on Friday, January 18, from 7 to 9:00 p.m. A nation-wide call for entry for this pharmaceutically-themed exhibit elicited work from 24 artists in 15 states as well as local artists."

"Work in the exhibit by Fort Wayne artists include paintings by Norm Bradley, photos by William Baulkey, acrylic and ink pieces by Shaun Malinowski, a linoleum cut by Julie Wall, and a photo by Paul Yurkovich. Artist Jodie Hardy of Indianapolis is exhibiting three pieces: a quilt entitled “Small Comfort,” a textile called “Take as Directed,” and a sculpture called “Govitran Survival Kit.” And Rob Millard-Mendez from Evansville is showing a wood and painted pill on legs sculpture entitled, “The Little Bulloo Pill.”"
