Council to hear dueling Harrison plans

From the article:
"[Talarico Jr] said part of the discussion will include what happens in a worst-case scenario, such as the Wizards defaulting on their lease."
"Schmidt said it would have made more sense to have the discussion after a package is presented by city officials, but it was important to present their side if supporters were making their case.
“Rather than giving them a free shot, we want to come back and show some alternatives,” Schmidt said."

Will you guys be filming?
Scott,
We will attempt to film. However, the cityTV channel always shows council meetings live and through re-runs so we may use that footage.
If I can make the event this evening I plan to record.
Four new clips on vimeo.com by the way.
Saw the new clips. Good job! Glaze's was very impressive.
BTW, does cityTV stream online?
scott-
this is the only info I could find and the link appears to be dead..

Scott - Are you aware that Scott Glaze is so into downtown Fort Wayne (and Allen County) that his personal residence is in Huntington County ? (Guess our taxes are too high ?)
Hey Anon 3:08
The Glaze's principal home may be in Huntington Co. but they have become active property owners in downtown Fort Wayne having purchased a condo and one commercial building and looking to buy others.
One great thing about Fort Wayne is that you can live in ex-urbia, suburbia, downtown, or a historic neighborhood and still be twenty minutes from everywhere.
The Glazes are great community boosters having greatly expanded an industrial company that had to be reinvented and now taking up the cause to help build a more active downtown to diversify Fort Wayne's economy.
Their company is a dominant world class company and they provide high quality high paying jobs yet they are not complacent. They want to make Fort Wayne more competitive.
More should follow their example.

At last night's Council meeting, it was very apparent how important downtown development has been to some of the more senior (yet active) members. We have lost a generation since the talks of building a hotel near the Grand Wayne Center. We have lost three generations since the discussion concerning building on the rivers began. How many more generations (of life left in the council members) does our community have to talk and not do. Harrison SQ is a positive, action our community has not taken.
