"Design Collaborative plans to move to a new home in the 1st Source Center in early 2008, and the 15-year-old architectural and engineering firm has already found a buyer for its historic Barr Street headquarters."

"George Danusis, of Danusis-Bodine, is moving his two businesses and two other businesses to the three-story, red-brick building at 825 S. Barr St."

"“I really love downtown locations,” Danusis said. “Every city that is a great city has a great downtown.”"

"Finding a buyer who appreciates the firm’s current home and will bring new businesses to the downtown area “makes it even more exciting,” Pasterick said."

"The principals of Design Collaborative, which has been commissioned to design both the residential and retail portions of the Harrison Square development, never considered moving outside of the downtown area."

"The Barr Street building was built for Keller Medical about 1886, and beginning in 1901 served as the home of Fort Wayne Biscuit, which became Perfection Biscuit and then Perfection Bakery, said Angie Quinn, of local preservation group ARCH.

A number of other owners and occupants, including Waterfield Mortgage and the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, have used it over the years, Quinn said."
