Project includes new storm sewers, sidewalks and streetlights
Link
"On top of construction associated with Harrison Square, the city’s $125-million-to-$160-million downtown revitalization project, Calhoun Street between Jefferson and Washington boulevards is closed 6 a.m.-6 p.m. daily through Oct. 12. Crews will be installing a storm sewer, the first step in a new look for the block that will include new sidewalks and streetlights.
The original goal was to renovate Calhoun from Washington Boulevard to Berry Street. The addition of the storm sewer, added late in the design phase to separate the city’s storm and sanitary sewer systems, forced the project to be scaled down.
The entire project is expected to be completed in November, although the contractor’s deadline isn’t until the end of March."
