Ring In 2008 Downtown

If you still haven't decided where you are going to celebrate the New Year, head downtown!

Check out the list of events below:

J.K. O'Donnell's

"This Monday, December 31st, we've got a full evening planned, and it'd be all the better if we saw your smiling faces. We'll have live Celtic music, comedy and acoustic tunes starting at 5:30PM and spread throughout the evening. What's more, we're not content to just do a single celebration — we'll actually count down to 2008 twice. The first, at 7PM, will ring in the new year on Ireland time. If you're a night owl, join us at midnight for the traditional Eastern Standard Time celebration. And if you're truly adventurous, we'll see you for both. Celebrate with old friends, and make some new ones. Best of all — perhaps — is that there's no cover for our NYE event!"
Thirsty Camel
The Thirsty Thirsty is being taken over for a New Year's Eve party, but tickets are pretty much sold out. If you're in the area you might try taking a stab at getting in at the door.
Mid City Grill
Three bands playing: Third Frame, Mojo Dub, Second Sun. No cover.
Mad Anthony
Starts at 9PM. Tickets $30 per person, but they are listed as in advance only. You might not be able to get in to Mad Anthony tonight.
Columbia Street West
$10. Music by Key 2 Eden. "Deluxe party favors, champagne toast, free cab rides, and much more"
Information gathered from various sources, with the big hat tip going to WhatzUp.
