"This week members of the city’s Redevelopment Commission and Redevelopment Authority will sign the final paperwork on a $50 million bond. The commission also is expected to vote to give the go-ahead for hotel developer White Lodging to prepare construction documents.
...
Greg Leatherman, the city’s deputy director of community development, said the bond will eventually supplant an $18 million anticipatory bond issued in September.

Leatherman said the commission will vote to let White Lodging proceed with construction documents with a $400,000 guarantee: If the hotel deal falls through, the city will repay White Lodging the $400,000.
...
Leatherman said the city will take bids for the parking garage Nov. 28 and award the contract at a special meeting of the Redevelopment Commission on Dec. 3. Weigand Construction, the Harrison Square construction manager, will put up for bid additional concrete packages for foundations in December.“We’re slightly ahead of schedule,” Leatherman said, “and we’re on schedule for financing.”"
